Island Science Day

Celebrate 83 years of marine science with us at Island Science Day on Saturday, October 12, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM at The University of Texas Marine Science Institute, located at 750 Channel View Dr. This exciting, family-friendly event is free to the public, though certain activities require registration. Explore the ocean’s wonders through boat rides aboard the R/V Katy, R/V Curt Johnson, and the Mustang dolphin watch boat, as well as guided walking tours of the Wetlands Education Center, Fisheries & Mariculture Lab, and UTMSI campus. Enjoy lectures from renowned scientists, interactive demonstrations, live music, kids’ activities, a beach cleanup, a food court, and much more.
