Join us for a two-day oil painting workshop with Kin Hinnant on September 18 and 19, from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Port A Art Center, 104 N Alister St. This workshop, costing $130 for both days, will teach you to paint a stunning sunrise or sunset over the ocean, focusing on the beautiful light reflected in the sky, clouds, and water, and the transitions in color that occur. Foundational principles of drawing, design, color, and value will be discussed and applied, along with techniques to create dimension using atmospheric and linear perspective. This class is suitable for all skill levels. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do not bring any products with a strong odor, especially mineral spirits, solvents, or turpentine. Supply List:

• Paints: Titanium White, Cadmium Lemon, Cadmium Yellow Deep, Cadmium Red, Permanent Rose, Alizarin Crimson, French Ultramarine, Cobalt Blue
• Brushes: Sizes 2, 4, 6, 8 flats
• Palette
• Paper towels
• Small jar (solvent will be provided; your jar will be your container)
• 2 – 11 x 14 canvases (two paintings will be offered; paint at your own speed)

Join us on September 26 from 11 AM to 4 PM at the Port A Art Center, 104 N Alister St, for a fun and creative Mosaic Class with Janet Dineen! For $130, learn to create a beautiful mosaic mirror, heart, or fish. This class is both perfect for beginners and enjoyable for experienced mosaic makers. You'll design your piece, use tile-cutting hand tools, and mix and apply grout. All tools and materials are provided, and we'll attach a hanger to the back so your project is ready for display. Plan on getting messy, especially during the grouting process! Come share in the joy of mosaic making!

Join us on September 27 from 8 AM to 10 PM at the Port A Art Center, 104 N Alister St, for a full day of photography with John Morris. Regardless of what kind of camera you have, John Morris will guide you through simple steps to get better shots. The class begins with some classroom instruction, followed by a guided photography session around the beautiful Port Aransas area, focusing on landscapes and wildlife. The cost is $30 per person. Don’t miss this chance to enhance your skills and creativity!
