Tula Blue – locally made handspun jewelry

About Heather Stringer; The Artist behind Tula Blue designs:

Although Scottish-born and Texas-raised, Heather has lived & traveled many places in between. She met her adventure-loving, helicopter pilot husband from Colorado while they were both working at an EcoResort on StJohn, USVI. Aside from their 3 beautiful, energetic boys, Heather’s greatest love is designing jewelry.
She is self-taught and creates pieces with semi-precious gemstones and metals, pearls, raw
diamonds, and other materials that spark her interest. Heather likes creating designs that are simple
and wearable. Her signature roping collection are both of those things: waterproof, kid-proof, life-proof.
Tula Blue is inspired by her travels and the places she has called home, Hawaii most of all. Having lived on the Islands for 7 years, Heather’s designs were influenced by a love for the Ocean and a simpler life. While on the Big Island, Heather began to sell her jewelry. People loved the designs and quality of her work so much that she was able to leave her job as an Income Auditor at a local Resort to begin designing jewelry full time. After taking a 6 year break to start a family and landing on North Padre Island, TX, Heather is back to creating jewelry. It did not take long for her pieces to quickly become recognizable across the Coastal Bend area. Her work is featured in multiple stores and galleries across Texas and Colorado and she is looking forward to many more art walks, gallery events, wholesale accounts and further expansion. Heather is thrilled that the small business she started as a hobby has now turned into her company, Tula Blue. She genuinely loves where Tula Blue and her jewelry have taken her and creating every piece makes her heart happy. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about Heather & Tula Blue!
