The Port Aransas Boatmen (PABA) are excited to announce they will again host the Deep Sea Roundup (DSR). Hurricane Harvey roared into the Coastal Bend and has left its mark on Port Aransas but with volunteer help and community fishing spirt the PABA will hold the 2019 84th Deep Sea Roundup. The Deep Sea Roundup is the oldest fishing tournament on the Gulf Coast. Because of Hurricane Harvey, there will be some modifications to the tournament for this year. Registration day will be Thursday July 11th. The Fishing Day and Piggy Perch contest will be on Friday and Saturday July 12th & 13th. Awards and the Bill Horn Fish Fry will be on Sunday July 14. Advance Registration has commenced. The fish categories will remain the same following the Texas and Federal fishing guidelines. Mark your calendars now to attend, support the community spirit and fish in the tournament. This is a tournament for all who wish to participate -- men, women, and youth with emphasis on fishing fun and excitement...
Keep in touch with the DSR by following us on Deep Seas Roundup Facebook page and sign up for updates on our website www.deepsearoundup.com . Harvey could not thwart our fishing spirt and we invite all fishermen inshore and off shore to join us and share our fishing spirt. The monies from the Deep Sea Roundup are used to fund our scholarships for community students and support community youth activities.
