News About Business Impacts

The Nueces County Water District reported that customers in Port Aransas are not included in the current water usage ban in Corpus Christi.  Currently the district is pumping water from its othr water source which comes from the San Patricio Water District located in Ingleside.


A special place of Port Aransas that is definitely worth the visit at any time of the year is the Port Aransas Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center. This special sanctuary is the home to many migrating birds as well as our local fauna! Believe it or not, there are two alligators that cruise along this special reserve, Boots and Bags.

What is usually a cold and bitter time of year becomes a warm and safe haven for many Port Aransas lovers. These individuals travel far and wide to claim our beautiful island town as their home during the harsh winters up North.

What a beautiful time of year it is here in Port Aransas! The ocean is sparkling, the coldest of the cold fronts have yet to make it down here and the sun is still warming up the sand under our toes. There is so much to be thankful for when you are down here on these beautiful beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.

October is upon us all.  Some say October is the best month to be in Port Aransas.  This can often be for many reasons.  The Summer season has come to a close and the crowds have subsided.  This provides a slower paced atmosphere and helps everyone get back on the notorious "Island Time".
